Product & Care

Wooden Watches are splash proof, meaning that they can get wet from time to time without damage. This may include contact while washing your hands, or kitchen ware, or even small amounts of sweat.

But in order to prolong the useful life of your watch, please take care NOT to expose it to water as much as possible. Exposure to water can cause the wood to expand and weaken, so we encourage that you remove your watch while doing any water based activity. It is also not recommended that you douse or submerge the watches in water. If this happens, let the wood to dry for 1 to 2 days to allow the links to return to their natural size.

One might look similiar standing next to another, but you can be certain that every tree is unique, and because we use these natural materials in our products, it’s only natural that all of our products are unique. The textures and color of products made using natural materials can be very distinct from one model to the next, making it truly your very own piece of nature.

Wearing our watches feels considerably light, as they only weigh 50-140 grams. They are designed to feel light and comfortable, even during warm weather.

The batteries in our watches are expected to last 1-2 years.

Watch batteries may be replaced in any watch repair store.

Understanding Chronograph

A chronograph watch is a timepiece that features a stopwatch function in addition to its regular timekeeping functions.

A chronograph watch typically has two buttons on the side of the case that control the stopwatch function. When you press the start button, the stopwatch function starts counting, and when you press the stop button, it stops counting. The elapsed time is displayed on small sub-dials on the watch face.

The sub-dials on a chronograph watch are small circular displays on the watch face that show the elapsed time in seconds, minutes, and hours. Each sub-dial has a different function – the 3 o’clock sub-dial typically displays elapsed minutes, the 6 o’clock sub-dial displays elapsed hours, and the 9 o’clock sub-dial displays elapsed seconds.

The tachymeter scale is a feature that is found on some chronograph watches. It is typically located on the outer edge of the watch face and is used to measure speed over a known distance.

One of the most common uses of the tachymeter scale is to measure the speed of a moving object over a known distance. For example, if you are timing a race, you can use the tachymeter scale to determine the speed of the runners. Let’s say you know that the race is 1 kilometer long, and you time the runners with your chronograph watch. If it takes the first runner 3 minutes and 30 seconds to complete the race, you can use the tachymeter scale to determine their average speed in kilometers per hour (km/h). To do this, you simply align the tachymeter scale with the second hand on your watch, and the scale will show you the speed in km/h.

Another practical use of the tachymeter scale is to measure the speed of a vehicle. Let’s say you are driving a car and you want to know how fast you are going. You can start the stopwatch function on your chronograph watch and then use the tachymeter scale to measure your speed over a known distance. For example, if you know that it takes you 10 seconds to drive 500 meters, you can use the tachymeter scale to determine your speed in km/h.

In addition to these practical uses, the tachymeter scale is also a popular design feature on many chronograph watches. It adds a sporty and technical look to the watch and can be a conversation starter.

It’s important to note that the tachymeter scale is not always accurate, and its readings can be affected by a variety of factors, such as air resistance and variations in the distance traveled. As with any tool, it’s important to use the tachymeter scale appropriately and not rely solely on its readings for critical calculations.

To use the tachymeter scale, start the stopwatch function when the object begins to move, and stop it when it reaches the end of the known distance. The tachymeter scale will then show you the speed of the object in units per hour.
A chronograph watch can be useful for timing events, such as races or cooking times, and for measuring the speed of moving objects, such as vehicles or runners.
No, there are many different types of chronograph watches with different features and functions. Some chronograph watches have additional complications, such as a flyback function or a date display.
Chronograph watches can be more expensive than regular watches due to the additional complications and features they offer. However, there are many affordable chronograph watches available on the market as well.
